Yes. A free 15-minute consultation is available for new clients. This is a brief opportunity to ask questions, share what you are looking for support with, and determine whether my services may be a good fit for your needs.
CBT-E stands for Enhanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. It is a structured, evidence-based treatment developed specifically for eating disorders and related concerns. CBT-E focuses on understanding and changing the patterns that keep eating difficulties going, while supporting clients in building a more stable and sustainable relationship with food, body image, and self-worth.
No. You do not need a formal diagnosis to seek support. Many people reach out because their relationship with food, exercise, body image, or self-worth has started to feel stressful, rigid, overwhelming, or difficult to manage. Support can be helpful even if you are unsure whether what you are experiencing “counts” as an eating disorder.
Counselling sessions are typically 50 minutes in length and are $110 per session. The free consultation is 15 minutes. Shorter 30-minute Child & Youth Support Sessions are also available for children, younger adolescents, or individuals who may benefit from a more focused appointment length. A limited number of reduced-rate spots may be available based on financial need. Please reach out directly to discuss availability, details, and eligibility.
Direct billing may be available for select insurance providers. Receipts are also provided for clients who prefer or need to submit claims independently. Because coverage varies by plan, clients are encouraged to confirm their eligibility, reimbursement amount, session limits, and provider requirements directly with their insurance provider before booking.
Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged. A valid credit card is required to remain on file through Jane and may be charged for session fees, unpaid balances, co-pays, denied claims, late cancellations, or no-show fees. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be charged the full session fee.
